We collect a security deposit for all of our bikes in Krabi to ensure that our bikes are returned to us in a safe manner.
When you rent a scooter or motorcycle from Krabi Moto Rentals, we require a refundable security deposit before your rental begins. Our motorbike deposit is a standard part of the rental process and helps protect both our customers and our business while ensuring that every bike is returned in the same condition in which it was rented.
We believe in keeping our motorbike deposit policy simple, fair, and transparent. There are no hidden fees, confusing conditions, or unexpected charges. Once your rental has been completed and the motorcycle is returned in the same condition, your security deposit is refunded in full immediately.

We never keep your passport as deposit security. Your passport stays with you throughout your rental.
Return the bike in the same condition and your deposit is refunded immediately after inspection.
Our motorbike deposit helps cover situations such as accidental damage, lost keys, missing accessories, or any unpaid rental charges. Fortunately, the vast majority of our customers receive their full deposit back without any deductions.
Before every rental, we carefully inspect the motorcycle together with you and record its condition. When the bike is returned, we perform another quick inspection. If everything is in the same condition, your deposit is refunded straight away.
The amount of your motorbike deposit depends on the motorcycle model you choose.

Krabi Moto Rentals has never held customer passports as deposit security, and we never will. A cash-only security deposit is our non-negotiable standard — it has been since we began operations.
We may take a copy or photograph of your passport for identification and rental records. Your original passport always remains in your possession.
If you do not have Thai baht available when collecting your motorcycle, that is not a problem. We are happy to accept a motorbike deposit in several major currencies, including:
The amount simply needs to be equal to the required deposit value in Thai baht using the current exchange rate. This makes it convenient for international travellers who may not yet have exchanged enough local currency.
Your security deposit is refunded as soon as the motorcycle is returned at the end of your rental period and our final inspection has been completed. As long as the bike is returned in the same condition, with all keys and accessories, your deposit will be returned in full.
