Speed limits here are often treated more as a suggestion than a strict rule. We have virtually never seen laser speed traps in the area, so do not worry excessively about being caught by a camera — but the roads and geography simply do not allow you to go super fast safely.

Police your own speed with common sense. We generally say 60 km/h or less on open roads, and 40 km/h or less on residential or busier streets. A Krabi motorbike hire is for exploring, not racing.
